When Billy Met Alasdair

Award-winning writer and performer Alan Bissett, creator of *The Moira Monologues*, takes on the dual roles of Billy Connolly and Alasdair Gray, imagining what might have happened when Connolly attended the 1981 launch of Gray's masterpiece *Lanark*. The play explores the struggles, origins, and creative triumphs of both Glasgow legends, commissioned by the Alasdair Gray Archive and the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, and directed by Kirstin McLean. A Q&A with Alan Bissett follows the performance. Suitable for ages 14 and over; contains strong language.
