The Royal Ballet: Swan Lake

Liam Scarlett's production for The Royal Ballet brings Tchaikovsky's score and John Macfarlane's designs to the screen in this live cinema screening of Swan Lake. Princess Odette, cursed by the sorcerer Von Rothbart to take the form of a swan, can only be freed by a pledge of eternal love — a promise that Von Rothbart moves to destroy. The production weaves together themes of love, treachery and forgiveness in one of ballet's most enduring works.
