The Best Summer

Shot entirely on a handheld camera by Tamra Davis, *The Best Summer* documents the 1995 Summersault tour across Australia and Southeast Asia, featuring the Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Foo Fighters, Pavement, Rancid, The Amps, and Bikini Kill. The footage — rediscovered nearly thirty years later — moves through backstage corridors, tour buses, hotel rooms, and onto the stages themselves, capturing live performances alongside candid conversations and the unscripted texture of life on the road. Raw and intimate, the film stands as a time capsule of a formative moment in alternative music and independent filmmaking. Rated 15+; strong language.
