Quilt Design Workshop: Creative C Curve Borders with Sheena Norquay

Inspired by the *Beyond the Bedspread* exhibition, this workshop with Sheena Norquay explores the creative possibilities of C and S curve motifs — a design element widely used in both hand and machine quilting. Participants work on a small scale with tracing paper to draw and develop C-curve patterns suitable for quilt borders, sashing, and strippy quilts, with techniques for scaling designs up to any size. The session also covers threads, waddings, and methods for transferring designs onto fabric, with examples of free-motion and walking-foot machine quilting. Suitable for all skill levels; all materials are provided.
