National Theatre Live: Golden Boy

Josh O'Connor leads the cast in this NT Live screening of Clifford Odets' 1930s American classic, filmed live at the Almeida Theatre. Joe Bonaparte is a gifted violinist whose shot at fame and fortune pulls him into the brutal world of professional boxing, forcing him to reckon with ambition, identity, and the cost of success. Olivier Award-winner Sam Yates directs, with a live string quartet accompanying the action. The production may include flashing lights; suitability rating is to be confirmed.
