Metropolitan Opera: Silent Night

Kevin Puts returns to the Metropolitan Opera with his Pulitzer Prize–winning opera, inspired by the true events of the 1914 Christmas truce. The libretto, by Mark Campbell, is written in English, French, and German, and the production — staged by James Robinson — has been widely acclaimed since its 2011 premiere. Soprano Elza van den Heever and tenors Ben Bliss and Rolando Villazón lead the cast, conducted by Dalia Stasevska, in this live cinema screening at Eden Court Theatre.
