Josephine

Winner of the Grand Jury Dramatic Prize at Sundance, Beth de Araújo's film follows eight-year-old Josephine (Mason Reeves) after she accidentally witnesses a sexual assault in Golden Gate Park and struggles to make sense of what she saw. Weaving thriller and horror conventions into a serious, sobering scenario, the film interrogates how adults explain the unspeakable to children. Rated 18; contains sexual violence.
