The Highland Archive Centre is hosting a Family History Day aimed at anyone interested in genealogy, whether new to the subject or looking to deepen their research. The morning begins with a talk and Q&A — "The Quirks of Family History" — delivered by family historian Anne Fraser, followed by displays of original documents including school and poor relief records, Scotland's People taster sessions, and the chance to speak with family historians Anne and Alasdair. The event is free to attend, with donations welcomed, and is also a timely opportunity to explore family history vouchers or commissioned research as a Christmas gift.
